What MonSeal stores

When an organization issues a credential, MonSeal stores two kinds of data: (1) a cryptographic proof on the Monad blockchain — a hash, the issuer's wallet address, a timestamp, and a revocation flag — which is public and permanent by the nature of a blockchain; and (2) display details (recipient name, credential title, description, organization name) in a Firestore database, used to show human-readable information on the verification page.

Public by design

MonSeal's entire purpose is public verifiability. Anyone with a credential ID or QR code can look up its details, issuer, and status. Don't issue a credential containing information you don't want to be publicly checkable.

Wallet data

MonSeal reads your connected wallet address to let you issue and manage credentials. It never requests your seed phrase or private key, and never initiates a transaction without your explicit signature approval in your wallet.

Testnet notice

MonSeal currently runs on Monad Testnet, a test network with no real-world monetary value. Nothing issued here should be treated as a legally binding credential.
